Eduard Moroianu, Senior Business Analyst at mindit.io, has passed the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) exam, administered by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). The certification notification was unambiguous: “Congratulations! On behalf of IIBA, we are happy to inform you that you have successfully completed the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) exam and you are now Certified.”
The CBAP is the top-tier credential in the business analysis profession. IIBA issues it to a small fraction of working practitioners globally, and it is widely considered the gold standard for senior business analysts.
What the CBAP Actually Requires
Passing the CBAP exam is not a matter of sitting a multiple-choice test after a weekend of preparation. Candidates must document thousands of hours of hands-on BA experience, demonstrate competence across the full scope of the discipline, and pass a rigorous examination that covers requirements engineering, stakeholder management, solution evaluation, and governance on complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.
The credential is designed specifically for senior practitioners who operate at the level where BA decisions have real organizational consequences. Most business analysts spend their entire careers without reaching it.
