“It is an umbrella framework that will, practically, concentrate all the forces in our society that want to be a part of building the future and this framework of artificial intelligence in Romania. It will include a Scientific and Ethical Council in Artificial Intelligence, an Education Council in Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, and thematic working groups. At the same time, the approach also aims to strengthen the Romanian artificial intelligence hub,” said Sebastian Burduja, the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitization in Romania.

This initiative will be 100% open to the contributions from civil society representatives, the academic environment, the private environment, practically aligning Romania with the best practices in the field, according to Sebastian Burduja.

“Our aim is to connect the great specialists that Romania has in artificial intelligence, in machine learning, at major universities, research laboratories, companies, from all over the world, with the academic, research, artificial intelligence environment at home,” he added.
