What’s something that happened to you that can only happen here? What’s unique about mindit.io?

mindit.io was like a very needed breath of fresh air after working as a pharmacist for a few years. I joined as an intern 3 years ago and I’m glad that I did it. I wouldn’t have believed that a technical role could be a good fit for me. It opened the doors for me towards the IT world and I’m very grateful for that.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

From the very start of my journey I have been in situations which forced me to get out of my comfort zone. Back then I didn’t have a mentor assigned, so for every issue that I faced I had to look for support within the team and even within the company. 

I was very pleased to see that was always somebody willing to help me. Even if I didn’t like it at that time, I think that made me more confident and more eager to learn. mindit.io encourages continuous learning by offering a yearly learning budget. I’ve already used it partially, signing up for a technical course which I believe plays an important role in my growth. 

What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work here?

From the first interactions with my colleagues, I realized that the work environment was hugely different from what I have been used to. It is a positive culture full of kindness and with emphasis on the well-being and work-life balance of the employees.

How would you describe an ideal day at work?

Ideally a working from home day would start by getting up early on a sunny day, having enough time to prepare a delicious breakfast and peacefully enjoy my coffee while I join the daily meeting. What I appreciate the most about our meeting is that after the work-related discussions, we take a few minutes for small talk which I find very funny sometimes. Then, I will continue my day in a good mood focusing on a feature development task.

Nevertheless, I also like going to the office, even though it happens quite rarely, as we work most of the time remote. But spending some days in the office is really nice as we get the chance to interact directly with our colleagues, sharing knowledge, stories and good vibes.

In one word, how would you describe your team?

I find my team very funny. It is a quite large team with very dedicated people which know how to work hard but they also know to add a little bit of fun between.

If you could swap jobs with anyone in mindit.io for a day, who would it be and why? What do you think would be the most surprising thing about their role?

I would choose Zsolt Balint because he inspires me every time with his knowledge. He always manages to find a good solution for every issue and a proper approach for every new feature.

Which benefits are your favorite and why?

What I appreciate the most as a benefit is working remotely, it is a big advantage during these days. I also like the Flexi anniversary which gives you the opportunity to accumulate extra vacations days. 

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about joining mindit.io?

If you are thinking that you need a change because your current job doesn’t bring you enough satisfaction, believe in yourself, no matter what. Everything is possible when you really want it. We have a lot of opportunities, find the courage and apply.

What is the mindit.io value you feel the most and how you do you live it?

Among the different values that I encountered here, what is important for me is that you are listened when you feel that something is missing in your growth. 

If you could do anything else for a living, in an alternative universe, what would that be? 

I would definitely be “Campeona del Mundo de Bachata”.

What movie, book, or TV show would you recommend? How do you relax and unwind? 

I like to read but I don’t know how I always end up on the couch with the TV remote in my hand. I usually read more during vacations, so I’m thinking now that I don’t travel enough.

I prefer comedy series because it helps me clear my head. After a rough day I’m on the couch watching Friends or The Big Bang Theory even if I saw them multiple times.
