1. What’s something that happened to you that can only happen here? What’s a unique part about working here?  

A lot of focus is placed on organizational culture, and you can easily see that through all the initiatives that are organized internally and externally with and for the people here at mindit.io.

All employees encourage as much interaction as possible with other colleagues, teams and departments. I believe we work a lot better as a team if we keep the communication to a high level which results in higher morale and better performance overall.  

That’s just one of the things that’s unique about mindit.io.  

2. How have you grown professionally while on our team?  

I made a 180-degree change when joining the mindit.io team. I used to be an accounts payable specialist, so it’s pretty tricky to say how and if I grew professionally. I see it more as jumping from one lane to another.

What’s certain is that the knowledge I gained since coming here is immense.  

I’m pretty sure that this learning journey will never stop, and I’m excited for all the projects that lie ahead but I got my eyes set on a developer position. “When?” and “How?” only time will tell.

3. What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work here?  

I made the decision to join mindit.io right after a meeting at my previous job when I realized “my job here is complete”.

There comes a moment in everyone’s work life when you hit a wall and you think to yourself if you want to continue as is or If you want to expand your horizon and take on new ventures

This is what happened to me, I handed in my resignation joined the mindit.io team.

I thank my previous workplace for the knowledge and good times, and I wish all my old colleagues best of luck and much love!   

4. How would you describe an ideal day at work?  

After waking up, I take my dog for a walk. We adopted her 4 months ago and I’m simply crazy about her.  

When the walk is over, I log in, start reading my emails and get ready for my daily calls. Right after the calls are done, I start working on my tasks and start helping colleagues left and right, whenever I’m needed.

An ideal day at work for me is a full day.

I do my best work when there’s a lot of chaos around me. I thrive when there’s a lot of hustle and bustle all over because I enjoy the thrill of getting tasks done, one after another. That’s where I get my dopamine.

5. What is your team like?  

In one word… Is “ahhh” a word? I can’t think of just one word right now.  

They are a loyal and dedicated bunch, with whom I really enjoy working side by side. Dedicated! That’s it! That’s the word!

I finally got it!  

6. Which benefits are your favorite and why?  

I like being able to work from home/from anywhere the most. That’s my favorite mindit.io benefit, especially now since I have to take care of my dog and train her.  

minditNomad is a truly unique option mindit.io offers which I also enjoy. I was really not expecting such an amazing benefit, where you get to travel all over the country and live and work in minditNomad homes located in Comarnic, Iasi, Constanta, Bucharest, Sibiu and Cluj.

Here you can find everything you want and more! I have to admit, there is one thing missing. The only thing that’s missing from mindit.io’s offices is a foosball table!  

I trully believe the Comarnic location would look ten times better with a foosball table.

If we can make this happen, I think we can all agree that this place is heaven.  

7. What advice would you give to anyone thinking about joining mindit.io?  

Take it easy! A lot of people are scared of programming, or they’re afraid of the trial period, and so on. Just think about it. Three months is a lot of time to acquire a lot of incredible new things.

With every new person that joins us, and I become their buddy(buddy system), I offer feedback on the spot. We also have on a  monthly basis sessions where we praise the areas where they excel and provide guidance for the areas which require more attention.  

It’s amazing to see the exponential growth some people have in such a short period of time.

8. If you could do anything else for a living, in an alternative universe, what would that be?  

In an alternative universe, I would be a surgeon! Either a general surgeon, or a cardiologist.  

I always had an affinity for medicine, even if it first started out as a passion for helping out animals.  

I realized I couldn’t operate on animals because I love them so much and I wouldn’t be able to detach myself from the situation. A human doctor would’ve been the next best thing.

But all’s good when it ends good, and I’m here right where I belong!  

9. What movie, book, or TV show would you recommend? How do you relax and unwind?    

Games as entire series, I would recommend BioShock, Dragon Age and Mass Effect. These are my favorite, whenever a game has a cool intricate story… I’m sold!

In terms of movies, I would have to go with 1408, which in my opinion is a psychological horror masterpiece. It’s not that scary. It’s the story I enjoy most, and I think I’ve seen it like 10 times now.  

TV Shows? Doctor Who is my all-time favorite and that’s what I enjoy watching in my spare time.
