What’s something that happened to you that can only happen here? What’s unique about mindit.io?

The thing that is unique to mindit.io is the understanding of the learning curves. Each one of us has their unique pace of learning, and mindit.io seems to really get that and offers you the opportunity to walk this path of knowledge in your own way.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I’ve started working in mindit.io back in 2019 as an intern. My journey was a fruitful one and I managed to polish a lot of sharp edges thanks to the large number of people from whom I could learn. I mostly work as a front-end dev, but in time I developed myself well on other areas too, such as back-end development, cybersecurity and machine learning.

What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work here?

I’ve had a lot of mentors while working here, and in time, I became a mentor myself. Each one of these experiences (meeting a new mentor/mentee) strengthens my confidence that I’ve made the right choice working in mindit.io.

How would you describe an ideal day at work?

For me, an ideal day at work starts with a couple hours of feature development in the morning, until right after noon, since my clients are on US timezone. Sometimes calls, other times just helping my colleagues with their features. 

In the afternoon, when the clients are active on the app and deployment is limited, we groom together future tickets, implementations, requests from clients, or we simply come up with new ideas for the app. I really enjoy my day when I have the occasion to help others, or if I’m required to help with something. I find fulfillment in sharing my knowledge and aiding the team.

In one word, how would you describe your team?

If I were to use only one word, it would be professional.

If you could swap jobs with anyone in mindit.io for a day, who would it be and why? What do you think would be the most surprising thing about their role?

If I could, I would definitely want to be a technical director for a day. This job really fascinates me because it involves a lot of responsibility and assumes that you are trained in large field of knowledge.

Which benefits are your favorite and why?

My favorite benefit is the travel budget which comes as a loyalty reward yearly. I feel like it widens my horizons since it’s a good “push” to go ahead and buy those tickets and visit a place you’ve never been before. Exploring other cultures is really fascinating and this benefit is a blessing for it.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about joining mindit.io?

To try it out because it’s worth it. The good experiences come in time, and you won’t even realize how quick time passes when you are part of a cool working environment.

What is the mindit.io value you feel the most and how you do you live it?

The greatest value mindit.io has is the care for each other. I live it everyday, because I always feel like I really do make a difference. mindit.io makes you feel like you count, that you are an important piece of the puzzle, and I really think that’s great.

If you could do anything else for a living, in an alternative universe, what would that be? 

In an alternate universe, haha, maybe it sounds weird since it’s not at all related to programming, but if I were to be something else, I would certainly be a rally driver. I have two big hobbies in my life: computers and cars, and surely the latter one would be the one I would invest the most time in on another life.

What movie, book, or TV show would you recommend? How do you relax and unwind? 

It’s a really hard choice since I watch a lot of movies, but I would recommend Deja Vu. It’s a really great classic.
