helping enterprises become AI-native organizations

Can AI be a partner in the new way of working?

With the recent changes our environment was subjected to by Covid-19, we have seen how remote working was accelerated at its fastest pace so far.

Business leaders and Human Resources had to quickly adapt their working policies to assure business continuity. Many have started, though, making strategies for adapting this way of working based on what they learn from real data.

We know that for IT people, working remotely was already encouraged, as it increases creativity and boosts productivity.

People, AI Software, and collaborative software for remote working teams will soon elevate new paradigms.

New ways of collaboration will reveal new numbers to consider when evaluating the best combination of people working from the office –people working remotely – use software – use AI.

These new numbers will reveal new psychographics that we don’t know about today. The same psychographics that will easily change as the AI starts supporting business decisions.

Let’s take, for example, employee Jim Smith. Jim’s manager knows that Jim works best remotely, but doesn’t know what “best” means or how much “better” can he work with a certain type of AI SW. Jim’s manager doesn’t know either if the corporate tools are used at their top potential or how productive Jim is by using these tools.

Well, using AI SW, Jim’s manager will learn how combining certain tools with Jim’s working style will increase his productivity, which one is indeed John’s best working model, which are the people and tools Jim best interacts with and how.

We scale it from Jim, to Jim’s team, and to the whole organization. Imagine a 100,000 employees organization learning from all of their interactions every day, every hour, and every minute! It is a living mechanism, with neural networks and with everchanging interactions, creating new and new networks!
Can Project Management AI Software become a partner in day to day work?

When we find ourselves doing something repeatedly, it’s surely a target for automation.

The software can monitor in real-time how long the team has been working on a part of a project and use this information to deliver status reports and overdue predictions; complement the efforts of its users through personalized suggestions and recommendations; analyze variations in work patterns, to draw attention to factors that influence tasks getting overdue. It will identify risks and notify you of possible issues ahead of time. It will offer you an advanced version of auto-complete for allocating resources and scheduling. And with all these, estimated effort, budget at completion, schedule performance indicator, and cost performance indicator can be calculated more accurately. Moreover, giving insights into the most probable causes for delay and overrun will also support project managers in making action plans that work. It goes without saying that for all of this to happen, you need data, data scientists, data analysts, and machine learning specialists.

Partnering with this type of software gives the project manager time to focus on what matters most: the people.

An AI SW will never know a programmer was not feeling well due to a personal problem and it will get his performance completely wrong, therefore the predictions and recommendations may be limited. People’s emotions cannot be imitated, our teams have amazing abilities in dealing with complexity, they have the so-called “instinct/gut” and the emotional connection that creates synergies.

Although we work remotely, we are more connected than ever – and high-quality human interaction is what makes the difference today and in the long run. So invest your time in people and use software where appropriate, rather than make people waste time on software that doesn’t pay back.
