What’s something that happened to you that can only happen here? What’s unique about mindit.io?
I had the incredible opportunity to work with a totally different culture (Romanian) as opposed to my current environment in Kenya. This cross-cultural exchange has been enriching both professionally and personally. Additionally, I delved deeper into AI, expanding my skills and knowledge in ways I hadn’t imagined. The warm welcome from my colleagues and the inclusive, supportive atmosphere have made this experience truly unique and rewarding.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
I have delved deeper into AI and been given the opportunity to work on tasks I hadn’t encountered before. This has significantly contributed to my growth and provided me with invaluable experience.
What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work here?
The moment I knew I had made the right decision was during my first daily standup. I received a very warm welcome from everyone, and knowing how willing everyone was to help on my first day was truly heartwarming.
How would you describe an ideal day at work?
Since I primarily work remotely, an ideal day at work starts with a productive stand-up meeting, followed by focused coding or collaborative problem-solving sessions. A relaxing lunch break, more coding in the afternoon, and ending the day with a sense of accomplishment would make it perfect.
In one word, how would you describe your team?
Inspirational.
If you could swap jobs with anyone in mindit.io for a day, who would it be and why?
I would love to swap jobs with any of my team members who work on-site. My curiosity to experience the creative office buzz and meet colleagues in person drives this interest. I think the most surprising thing about their role would be the dynamic energy of face-to-face interactions. It would be fascinating to see how the office environment enhances creativity and teamwork.
Which benefits are your favorite and why?
My favorite benefit is the ability to work fully remote. I really enjoy the flexibility it offers, allowing me to create a work environment that suits my productivity and comfort. It also gives me the freedom to balance my professional and personal life more effectively.
What advice would you give anyone thinking about joining mindit.io?
Be open to collaboration and continuous learning. At least this is what I have learnt here. mindit.io values innovation, so being adaptable and willing to contribute your ideas will help.

The mindit.io value I feel the most is authenticity, especially reflected in our culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion. If you could do anything else for a living, in an alternative universe, what would that be?
In an alternative universe, I’d be a food blogger. I love experimenting with and trying new cuisines, and the idea of sharing those culinary adventures through writing and photography sounds incredibly exciting.
What movie, book, or TV show would you recommend? How do you relax and unwind?
I’d recommend the TV show Forever. It was a fantastic series, though unfortunately, it only had one season. It seems like many of the shows I enjoy tend to get discontinued!
