Joining forces with Ecoteca, a dedicated NGO focused on waste management, circular economy, and climate impact, we have embarked on a project which aims to digitize environmental indicators in Romania by creating an accessible online platform. This platform will provide easily accessible, public interest environmental data, benefiting researchers, the public, media, and local authorities.
The primary goal is to offer a user-friendly online platform, initially focusing on environmental data at the county level. This innovative tool seeks to make data understandable to the general public, breaking down complex information for non-specialists. The approach is centralized, presenting data in an easily digestible format while fostering an open, crowdsourced data collection process to address community concerns.
Within the mindit.io team, a group of dedicated individuals including 6 interns, 1 cloud infrastructure engineer, 2 mentors, and 1 project coordinator worked tirelessly on this project. From business analysis to technical specifications and application development, the team collaborated to create this innovative platform.
Complementing other social engagement initiatives, “Do Good” aims to generate impact across various causes including climate change, well-being, inclusion, culture, and aiding those in need. Projects under the “Do Good” concept are supported by an annual budget and managed by a dedicated team, working tirelessly to support these noble causes.
