About the role:
As a Data Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping the data strategy behind critical banking operations. You’ll design, implement, and optimize the organization’s data infrastructure, ensuring data-driven decisions and the fact that our platforms are secure, scalable, and compliant. Your work will directly empower business and tech teams to innovate with confidence.
Location & Work setup:
The position is based in the Bucharest Office, near Grozavesti metro station, with a flexible hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities:
- Defining and shaping scalable enterprise data architecture that supports business growth and innovation
- Using your expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB) to build resilient data solutions
- Assessing, proposing, and implementing modern data technologies — from cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to data lakes and streaming systems
- Leading data governance strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and trusted data usage (e.g., GDPR, Basel III)
- Designing and enforcing data security frameworks that safeguard critical banking information
- Ensuring seamless data integration across systems — including core banking platforms, CRMs, and analytics tools
- Building and optimizing robust ETL pipelines and contributing to scalable data warehousing solutions
What are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture, modeling, and governance — ideally in banking or financial services
- Strong command of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), APIs, and cloud infrastructure
- A strategic mindset with a passion for solving complex data challenges and driving measurable business outcomes
- Ability to adapt quickly, lead initiatives, and collaborate in a dynamic, high-impact environment
- Experience in presales activities (e.g., engaging with clients, shaping technical proposals, or contributing to solution design) is a strong plus
