Common questions about our data platform and AI work for retail and travel commerce clients across Europe and DACH.
What types of retail clients has mindit.io worked with?
mindit.io's flagship retail engagements include global travel retail groups, multi-country food retail operators, and large-format specialty retailers across Europe. Delivered projects include the world's third-largest retail data lakehouse (12+ terabytes across multiple data mesh domains), a global analytics platform integrating data from 75+ countries into 100+ Power BI reports, a Master Data Portal that reduced article onboarding from weeks to 1 to 2 days, and a pricing engine processing 160,000+ competitor price points weekly. mindit.io has 8+ years of continuous delivery experience in high-volume global retail environments.
How does mindit.io handle real-time data for high-volume retail?
mindit.io implements event-streaming architectures using Databricks Delta Live Tables and Azure Event Hubs for real-time ingestion. Our retail integration platforms process 300,000+ transactions daily, with the analytics layer maintained at sub-second freshness for store operations dashboards. Real-time data feeds loyalty programs, inventory visibility across 5,500+ store locations, and dynamic pricing engines. The architecture supports burst capacity for seasonal and peak trading periods via Databricks autoscaling clusters on Azure. All real-time pipelines include data quality expectations that reject or quarantine malformed records before they reach the analytics layer.
Can mindit.io integrate with existing retail ERP and POS systems?
Yes. mindit.io has delivery experience with SAP Retail, Oracle Retail, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and major POS systems used in European retail. Integration is implemented via Databricks connectors, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and REST/SOAP API adapters maintained by the mindit.io integration practice. Data from ERP, POS, loyalty, and e-commerce channels is unified in a single Databricks lakehouse before serving analytics, AI, and operational applications. Our retail integration platforms connect hundreds of applications and process hundreds of thousands of daily transactions at production scale.
Does mindit.io offer GDPR-compliant retail analytics?
All mindit.io retail data platforms are designed for GDPR compliance by default. Customer data is pseudonymized at the point of ingestion using Delta Lake transforms. Consent flags are carried through the pipeline and enforced at the Unity Catalog access layer, so downstream analytics automatically respect customer consent status. Data residency is restricted to EU Azure regions (typically Azure West Europe for the Netherlands or Switzerland North for Swiss-domiciled clients). mindit.io provides a data processing agreement template compatible with German and Swiss data protection law for client-specific contractual requirements.
