About the role:
We are looking for a Finance (FI) System Analyst who is passionate about optimizing financial applications and supporting business operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role is perfect for someone with a strong financial systems background, particularly in SAP FICO, and an ability to bridge the gap between IT and business needs.
Location & Work Setup:
The position is based in the Bucharest Office, near Lujerului metro station, with a flexible hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day functional support, application administration, and incident management
- Consult users on system capabilities and promote best practice adoption
- Understand business processes and propose improvement initiatives for applications
- Collaborate with business and IT teams on implementation projects with an IT component
- Work closely with Finance, Commercial, and Operational departments, as well as external partners, to ensure smooth application functionality
- Develop functional specifications, perform testing, and deliver training sessions
- Adopt an Agile way of working in project execution
- Follow applicable standards, procedures, guidelines, and methodologies for application maintenance
What are we looking for:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (3 years minimum in SAP consulting or SAP module support with focus on the relevant area for the role)
- In-depth understanding of the processes in SAP ECC Financial modules: SAP GL, AP, AR, AA, Banks, CO
- Experience with design, implementation, and testing processes; Working on these areas to define business processes, solving the gaps, improving the flows, transforming the business requirements into system specifications to meet current and future requirements
- Solid understanding and experience of integrating SAP GL modules with other modules like MM, SD, PM, and FICO sub-modules.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing processes for interfacing and data transfer between SAP and other applications.
- Ability to work in a complex environment, handling various types of tasks in the financial area and their integration with other systems and/or solutions
- A landscape overview of the retail processes, starting from the store to the financial processes, would be a plus
- There would be a plus: IFRS knowledge, Plant maintenance, Investment management, Real estate modules, experience on SAP 4 HANA implementation, technical skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with FI-MM and FI-SD integration, as well as Real Estate solutions
- Knowledge of other SAP modules, such as SRM, VIM, and IM (Investment Management)
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA (design, customization, configuration, testing, and data migration)
