Senior AI Engineer

About the role: 

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with a strong foundation in software engineering to join our team. This role requires expertise in building and maintaining scalable software systems while integrating AI cloud services and pre-trained models into enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will bring solid software engineering skills, general knowledge of AI/ML concepts, and a proven ability to deliver solutions using Azure AI services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize software systems and drive innovation by embedding AI capabilities into diverse applications.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design and development of advanced AI systems, with a specific focus on generative AI techniques including Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents 
• Architect and implement scalable AI solutions that address complex business challenges and optimize operational efficiencies across the organization 
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement within the AI engineering team 
• Drive the integration of AI models into production environments, ensuring robustness, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals 
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to refine AI models and methodologies, delivering high-impact solutions that enhance strategic decision-making and user experience 
• Champion the exploration of emerging AI technologies, leveraging new tools and techniques to maintain a competitive edge and drive technological advancement within the organization 

What are we looking for: 

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field 
• 5+ years of experience in AI model development and deployment, particularly focusing on generative AI technologies (at least 2+ years) 
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and experience in managing the lifecycle of AI models, from development to deployment 
• Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agent architectures, with proven experience in optimization and performance enhancement techniques 
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex AI projects 
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of developing innovative solutions that drive business results

Nice-to-have:

• Proficiency in MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes), enhancing model operationalization and maintenance 
• Knowledge of ethical AI practices and regulatory requirements in AI deployment and usage 
• Experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance service offerings
