About the role:

We are looking for an SAP CAR POS DTA Specialist to support and optimize Point-of-Sale (POS) data processing within SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR). The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and auditable POS transaction flows from retail store systems into SAP, supporting downstream processes such as finance, reporting, analytics, and reconciliation.

This position requires strong SAP Retail expertise, deep knowledge of CAR POS Data Transfer and Audit (DTA), and hands-on experience with high-volume transaction processing in retail environments.

Responsibilities:

POS Data Integration & Processing

Configure, monitor, and support SAP CAR POS DTA inbound data flows
Ensure accurate ingestion of POS transactions (sales, returns, tenders, discounts, taxes)
Validate POS data completeness, consistency, and auditability
Support daily POS closing and reconciliation processes

Configuration & Support

Configure POS DTA profiles, validation rules, and processing parameters
Analyze and resolve POS load errors, inconsistencies, and performance issues
Perform reprocessing and data corrections when required
Support enhancements and change requests related to POS data processing

Monitoring & Incident Management

Proactively monitor POS data pipelines and batch jobs
Investigate failed or delayed loads and coordinate resolution
Provide L2/L3 support during business-critical periods (month-end, year-end, promotions)

Integration & Collaboration

Work closely with store systems, middleware, and integration teams
Collaborate with Finance, Retail Operations, and Analytics teams
Support integration with SAP S/4HANA / ECC / BW systems

Documentation & Quality

Maintain functional and technical documentation
Support testing activities (unit, integration, regression)
Ensure compliance with audit and retail data governance standards

What are we looking for:

SAP & Technical Skills

Strong experience with SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR)
Hands-on expertise in POS Data Transfer and Audit (POS DTA)
Solid understanding of SAP Retail business processes
Experience with SAP HANA (data analysis, performance troubleshooting)
Knowledge of interfaces, IDocs, and data replication mechanisms
Familiarity with S/4HANA Finance integration is a plus

Business & Domain Knowledge

Retail POS operations and transaction lifecycles
Sales, returns, promotions, taxes, and tender processing
Reconciliation, audit, and financial close processes
Experience in high-volume retail environments

Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders

Nice to Have

Experience with other SAP Retail components (OAA, PMR, F&R)
Exposure to cloud or real-time data architectures
Prior experience in support or rollout projects
Retail or FMCG industry background
