Business Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Apply expertise in data warehousing concepts to support the development of robust and scalable BI solutions
Developing and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
Creating and managing ADF triggers/subscriptions using Azure Logic Apps
Leverage Azure SQL for data storage and retrieval
Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
Ensuring data quality, consistency and performance
Implement best practices for data visualization to effectively communicate insights
Develop, update and maintain Power BI reports to reflect changing business needs
Develop interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards that leverage DAX
Developing ETL packages with different data sources using SSIS packages
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of scheduled report deliveries
Creating/Modifying objects in SQL Server
Documenting data flows, processes and technical solutions

Working with Databricks:

Debug and maintain notebooks
Write queries and scripts to validate and process data
Modify existing notebooks and perform data reloads

What are we looking for:

Proven experience with Azure Data Factory for building and maintaining data pipelines
Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps for managing triggers and subscriptions
Proficiency in Azure SQL for data storage, retrieval and performance optimization
Strong experience developing ETL packages using SSIS with multiple data sources
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
Experience working with Databricks, including writing queries, debugging notebooks and performing data reloads
Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX for developing interactive reports and dashboards
Proficiency in SQL Server, including creating and modifying database objects
Familiarity with data quality frameworks and best practices for ensuring data consistency and integrity
