For this role:
The Bid Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the bid process for the European Union Commission and European Agencies. This will include identifying business opportunities, developing and executing competitive responses, managing proposal teams, and ensuring high-quality proposals are submitted on time.
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential bid opportunities within the European Union Commission and European Agencies
- Manage the end-to-end bid process from receipt of tender through to submission, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements and deadlines
- Lead the development of proposals, designing and defining the overall proposal structure, messaging, and content
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners to develop compelling and competitive proposals, including staffing, technical, and commercial components
- Manage the proposal review and approval process, ensuring all proposals undergo rigorous quality checks, are appropriately reviewed, and approvals are obtained
- Develop and maintain proposal best practices, processes, and guidelines up to date
- Continue to monitor and report on the status of bids and proposals within the procurement cycle
What are we looking for:
- At least 3 years of bid management experience, experience winning European Commission/Agency procurement tenders
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of bid management software tools and processes
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment
