About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to join our team and work directly with one of our key U.S. clients in the publishing industry. You will play a critical role in growing organic traffic, optimizing editorial and evergreen content and ensuring technical SEO best practices are in place across a large content portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-visibility digital brand with millions of monthly readers, applying advanced SEO strategies at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations to improve crawlability, indexation, and site performance
- Collaborate with content, editorial, and development teams to implement SEO strategies that improve rankings and user engagement
- Optimize new and existing content using keyword research, internal linking strategies, and structured data (schema markup)
- Analyze site performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and third-party SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog)
- Monitor SEO KPIs (traffic, rankings, conversions), generate insights, and create regular performance reports
- Stay current on search engine algorithm updates and adjust strategies proactively
- Lead or contribute to large-scale SEO projects, such as site migrations, content consolidation, or taxonomy restructuring
- Train and support client teams with SEO best practices and workflows
Requirements
- Previous solid experience in a SEO role
- Proven experience working with large-scale websites (100k+ pages)
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles
- Advanced knowledge of tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and Data Studio
- Comfortable working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)
- Experience using HTML, CSS, and familiarity with JavaScript SEO considerations
- Ability to interpret SEO data and translate findings into clear recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with U.S.-based teams and adjusting to overlapping time zones as needed
