About the role:
We are looking for a Finance (FI) System Analyst who is passionate about optimizing financial applications and supporting business operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role is perfect for someone with a strong financial systems background, particularly in SAP FICO, and an ability to bridge the gap between IT and business needs.
Location & Work Setup:
The position is based in the Bucharest Office, near Lujerului metro station, with a flexible hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day functional support, application administration, and incident management
- Consult users on system capabilities and promote best practice adoption
- Understand business processes and propose improvement initiatives for applications
- Collaborate with business and IT teams on implementation projects with an IT component
- Work closely with Finance, Commercial, and Operational departments, as well as external partners, to ensure smooth application functionality
- Develop functional specifications, perform testing, and deliver training sessions
- Adopt an Agile way of working in project execution
- Follow applicable standards, procedures, guidelines, and methodologies for application maintenance
What are we looking for:
- A deep understanding of retail market dynamics and related business processes
- Hands-on experience in SAP FICO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, Banking) – including design, customization, configuration, and testing
- The ability to map business processes into applications effectively
- Strong knowledge of finance-related processes
- The ability to quickly learn and utilize new software applications
- Strong analytical thinking, a proactive mindset, and a team-player attitude
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
- Experience with FI-MM and FI-SD integration, as well as Real Estate solutions
- Knowledge of other SAP modules, such as SRM, VIM, and IM (Investment Management)
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA (design, customization, configuration, testing, and data migration)
