About the role:
We are looking for a Data Architect to join our team in the Banking sector being responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the organization’s data infrastructure. You will ensure the availability, reliability, and security of data systems, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. The position is based in the Bucharest Office, near Grozavesti metro station, with a flexible hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise data architecture frameworks to align with business goals
- Leverage expertise in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies, such as data lakes and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Establish and enforce data governance practices to maintain compliance with banking regulations (e.g., GDPR, Basel III)
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive banking data
- Oversee data integration across systems, including core banking platforms and CRMs
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines and support data warehousing solutions
What are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, and data governance, preferably within banking or financial services
- Proficiency in big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), cloud environments, and APIs
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
